1. John¹ Coppock was born August 17, 1636 in Mobberley,Cheshire,Eng, and died December 31, 1709 in Mobberley,Cheshire,Eng. He married Susan Lowe June 04, 1662 in Mobberley,Cheshire,Eng, daughter of William Lowe and Elizabeth. She was born January 1631/32 in Mobberley,Cheshire,Eng, and died October 18, 1684 in Mobberley,Cheshire,Eng.

Notes for John Coppock:
I am showing 17 Aug 1636 as the birthdate for John Coppock. This is actually his baptismal date but to avoid a hassle in constantly changing his dates due to my running six different genealogy programs, I have decided to use his baptismal date.

I have eliminated John ancestry for the time being simply because it is highly speculative at best and just flat wrong in some area's. For instance, one of the Coppock guru's has Ellen Bradbury marrying Richard b. ca 1540. The parish registry shows a Ellen Bradbury marring a Richard Coppock in Nov 1589. This Richard is either the son of Richard I or son of Hugh, a supposed brother to Richard I. There are other glaring examples in the most commonly accepted Coppock genealogies. Some swear by Corinne Hiller's version, some by others. The genealogy presented by Alan Dale, an Englishman who spent years going through all records in Cheshire, is quite different than all others I have seen and it answers some questions I have had about Aaron's birthdate but it too is pure conjecture, just as Corinne's and Mary Helen Pemberton's is. There is absolutely no basis in fact for the Richard, John Bartholomew, John lineage that I and others have posted all over the net.

I have ordered every Cheshire parish record that exists on micro film upto 1812. This will be photos of the actual parish registry pages. I do this seeking the truth, not to prove anyone wrong. I had much rather admit being wrong and then seek the truth, than I would to stubbornly cling to version I know is wrong. [GCH 31 Mar 2000]
