The Hayward, Skipwith, Coale Family
Updated October 16, 2001So far I have over 2,700 names in my tree. Some of the information I have is from the Register of Maryland's Heraldic Families (copyright 1935 by Alice Norris Parran). Some is from WFT CD's , and some is from other research. Most of what I have is from my father's side of the family. It has been the eaiser of the two branches to research. One of the first immigrants from England were Thomas Green and Ann Cox who arrived in Maryland in 1634 on "The Arc and the Dove", and were married soon after. There were marriages to Coale (or Cole) family, which has ties to Sir George Skipwith of Prestwould, VA (he was the grandson of Sir Henry Skipwith of Prestwould, Leicestershire, Eng., Baronet 1623).The families that I have information on were mostly located in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania in the United States, and in England prior to 1634.There are other places as well.I am still looking for more information on the Hayward branch. Please feel free to contact me through e-mail at [email protected] am looking for and am willing to share information.Happy Hunting! | |
