Find Family

Generations...

Updated January 14, 2005

I am researching the Langlois Family of Ontario, Canada and Rogers City, Michigan; the Jacob Crawford Family of Ireland & Whitby (Village), Ontario, Canada; the Belithia Hays/Hayes Family of South Carolina; and the Elmer Cox family of Vox or Skate, Kentucky.

My family roots can be traced back as far as France in the year 1740 on the Crawford side (Marie St. Clair, specifically). I believe this line to come from St. Clair sur Epte, Ile de France, France, but I am not 100% certain.

I have very little information on the Langlois'; only as far back as my grandfather, Charles Robert "Bob" Langlois. I am also interested in any information on the McGinty family of Goderich, Ontario, Canada as my Grandpa Langlois' mom is a McGinty.

I have been able to get as far back as Belithia Hays (wife Amey Clark) around 1755 in South Carolina. The Hays/Hayes branches tend to migrate all over the southeastern United States; primarily around the Carolina's , Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Elmer Cox and family came to Florida from Kentucky. From what I have been able to gather, they lived in Vox or Skate, KY. I have information linking this part of my family to Jesse James' aunt (Elizabeth Bolton).

Any information received will be appreciated. I am also willing to share any that I have. Thank You!!!

As always, thank you to those who have previously contributed to this never-ending task!
