The Latimer-Hayward Family Home Page
Both Latimer and Hayward Families emigrated from England in the 1800's. The Latimer's are traced back to Cavan County, Ireland and left to Canada during the Great Potato Famine around 1845. The Latimer's along with the Ludlow's moved to Grey County near Proton Twp., Ontariio where they were granted land from the Canadian Government. Some Latimer's moved to Northern Michigan when the lumber industry was big in the late 1800's.The William Hayward family from Westbury, Wilts, England also emigrated to Canada in the mid 1800's to (Cairo area) Ontario Canada. They farmed the land as well and several of them moved to the U.S.A. and Northern Canada (ALTA).Please contact me if you feel we may be connected. I am still working on this project and update my site every 3-6 months. So, please do stop back!! |
