Sylvester Headley (b. May 15, 1852, d. September 19, 1927)

Sylvester Headley (son of Charles Headley and Winford Mims)^{1767, 1768} was born May 15, 1852^{1769, 1770}, and died September 19, 1927^{1771, 1772}. He married (1) Mary Ellen Baker on November 16, 1871^{1773, 1774}. He married (2) Martha Ann Baker on March 28, 1878^{1775, 1776}, daughter of Anderson Jackson Baker and Elizabeth Mims.

Notes for Sylvester Headley:
Sylvester loved to hunt raccoons, rabbits, possums, and turkeys. He used to tell a story about killing seven turkeys with a single shot. He said they were all sitting on the same branch and he hit the limb and shot off their toes.

Physical Appearance: Sylvester remained tall and thin throughout his life and in later years he had white hair and a long white beard.

Property: Their farmland was near Verbena in Chilton Co. Sylvester farmed for a living, and bought his first sheep through mail-order and was one of the few farmers in the county who tried raising sheep
