From Black Jack Grove (Now Cumby, Texas) paper dated 1893.
Mr Lum Moore killed at Ed Rash's gin, northwest part of town. He wass raised in Dade County (Mo) and moved here several years ago (1872). He leaves a wife and several children. He was laid to rest in Mt. Zion cemetery.
On a trip in Feb, 1998, Betty and I were unable to locate his or his three daughters reported to bwe buried at Mt. Zion. However, in a book in the Hopkins County Genealogy Center, we found him and one of his daughters listed in a cemetery stone list. We did not copy this. It did say thta there were no dates listed on either Columbus or Cleopatra's stones. one dtr had born and death dates. Must follow up.
