       2. Jessie Cleo2 Moore (Columbus1) was born August 25, 1872 in Springfield, Mo, and died January 30, 1970 in Paducah, Cottle, Tx. She married (1) William Andrew Walker September 04, 1890 in Sulfphur Springs, Tx, son of George Walker and Martha Herman. She married (2) William Andrew Walker September 04, 1890 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins, Texas, son of George Walker and Martha Herman.

Notes for Jessie Cleo Moore:
When only three weeks old, she moved with her family by covered wagon from Missouri to Texas. Her Father, Columbus (Lum) Moore was a school teacher, farmer, and a veteran of the Civil War. Her mother died i n the spring of 1890 with pneumonia. Her father wanted her to wait until she was 18 years or age before marrying so that she could help wi th the household and the younger children. Nine days after her 18th b irthday, she and William drove in a buggy to Sulphur Springs, Texas a nd married. Her father died in 1892 when a gristmill grinding stone burst, a portion of it hitting him in the stomach. Jessie's parents and two sisters are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery about six miles north of Cumby, Texas in Hopkins County. William and Jessie lived around s x miles north of Cumby, Texas in Hopkins County.
They moved to Indian Territory somewhere around the small town of Antlers, Oklahoma. They moved back to Hopkins County in about 1897 and then to DeKalb, Texas in Bowie Countyn between 1900 and 1903 where William worked as a logger for a lumber mill. In 1904 they moved back to Hopkins County where William resumed farming. Four years later he was ordained as a deacon or elder in the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyter ian Church. The family moved to Cottle County in 1914 and farmed a couple of years at Buck Creek where he purchased a farm in the Fairview community.

William Andrew was of English-Irish-American Indian descent. Moved t o Texas in a covered wagon from Missouri about 1877 and settled in Ho pkins County around Ridgeway, Texas. He was a farmer . Had sandy hair and a sandy complexion.

  5 iii.   William Clarence Walker, born December 30, 1898; died June 1960 in Paducah, Cottle, Tx. He married Nellie Pierce.

  Notes for William Clarence Walker:
Nellie had children from previous marriage. Clarence and Nellie never had children. Clarence died of cancer, buried in Paducah.
