Johannes Maeck(spelling changed on entry to U.S.), Marie, his wife and their three boys Otto, Eugene, and Charles(Karl) immigrated to U.S. in 1883 from possibly Prussia. From there the moved to Canada. Charles is my grandfather and I am looking for his family tree in Germany(Prussia).I would appreciate any info.

This picture is all that is left of our family crest as we know it. The original was destroyed in a fire in my Great Uncle Eugene's home, as were many other artifacts that may have helped me with my research. If anyone can tell me more about it I would really appreciate it.I believe the motto under the crest is "Schwäbisches Geschlecht"
