I am researching the families of my parents, Herbert Hebdon, born Goole 1910, and Bridget Murray, born Hull 1913.

I have my father's family back to 1708 but I cannot find the origins of my mother's family in Ireland.

My mother believes that her grandparents, Michael Murray and Bridget Prendergast, came from the Westport area of County Mayo during the Famine.
They settled in Selby, Yorkshire. Three sons settled in Hull and two daughters settled in Lancashire

My mother also believes that at least one of her father's siblings, possibly Edward, moved to either Pittsburg or Philadelphia
