HECKMAN HERITAGE IN INDIANA
Updated September 6, 2000The Heckman Heritage in Indiana appears to begin about 1853, in Pike Twnshp, Marion County, when Joe Heckman and George Heckman, brothers, moved their respective families from Carlisle, PA. Both brothers and their wives were German immigrants, but further research is in process to pursue tis string. Over 140 family members have been identified, since 1853, my linage descending from George, thru Porter. Other names appearing are WEBB, LIEBTAG, TRESTER, HUDSON, SHEETS, ANTHONY, WHEELER.
