Died--In Marengo, Thursday, June 12, 1902 at 12:20 P.M. Mr. Marion Ingram, aged 61 years, 2 months and 15 days.
Mr. Ingram's death was very sudden, and his friends and acquaintances were severely shocked.

Sherwood on July 6th, 1865. To this union was born eight children--five daughters and three sons. These with the wife and aged and honored father, Wm. Ingram, of Millersburg, survive. All were present at the last sad rites Sunday afternoon.
Marion Ingram answered the call of his country when the honor of the flag and the integrity of the Union were assailed. Almost at the first call to arms he enlisted in Co. F. Fifth Iowa Regular Infantry, on July 5th, 1861. He was honorably discharged at the expiration of his term of service on July 30th, 1864.
The children are: Mrs. John Smoley, Belle Plaine; Mrs. Stella Christopher, Greetinger, Iowa, Mrs. Harry D. Frederickson, Marengo, Iowa; Mrs. Della Jones, Ruthven, Iowa, and Wilbur and Earl of this city, and Elmer of the regular army.
The funeral services occurred at the residence Sunday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. J. M. McClelland of the M. E. church. A large number of friends were present to pay the last tribute of respect. The interment was in the I. O.O.F. cemetery.
Mr. Ingram was an honest and industrious man. To his family he was kind and indulgent, and his unfailing good nature and kindness of heart made him many friends outside of the family circle. Many friends extend sympathy to the sorrowing family.
