Grimes of Post #292 Millers, was detailed as special musterer officer and mustered the Post July 4th. The new post was named "John Connell Post", in honor of Colonel John Connell of 28th, Iowa Regiment. It meets in I.O.O.F. Hall. Marion Ingraham F. 5th, Iowa (Listed as one of the members).

Also obits. state 9 May 1816. There is a "Iowa County Cemetery Records", page 146. Probably a WPA work, that list his birth as 5-9-1818 and death date as 4-5-1908, which should be April 4, 1908.
