Michael (b.abt 1798)and Roseanna (nee Farley b.abt 1800) Yore came from County Meath, Ireland about 1826. They settled for several years in Salina and Sycruse, Onondaga County, New York, USA, decided to go to the great Mid West abt. 1846 and headed towards Wisconsin. He worked the Erie Canal along the way and instead of Wisconsin, settled in the Chicago, Illinois area due to inclement weather, soon moving on to Deerfield, Illinois. There were 12 children in this family, three apparently born in Ireland, several in New York state, and the remainder in Illinois.
The family did well and held annual family reunions on the farm in Deerfield, Illinois up until about 1939. We have a large family picture taken at a Reunion in 1929.
Patrick and Ann (Farley) Tulley/Tully came from IR to Brooklyn, New York, USA and after my grandmother, Mary Tully was born in 1846 moved to Deerfield, IL.around 1850. I do not know if Roseanne and Ann were sisters, but guessing this is probably so.
I have met two cousins, Suzanne Kennedy Lohenry (she has provided an abundant amount of information and has her own Website), and Mary Yore Rusch, a second cousin. She is a direct descendent of my great-grandfather, George Yore. Very exciting times!
Fall 2001, I met Fr. Lambert Yore, born Frank Yore in Chicago. He sadly passed away October(2004) in Washington D.C. and currently unconnected to our group yet. We have linked the Yore's of St. Joseph, Michigan and some of the Yore's of Lake Forest/Deerfield, as well as some of the Chicago Yore's together. Many of the Chicago Yore's still remain unmatched to our group. In 2005, I heard from a Yore in Louisiana that is descended from the Benton Harbor Yore's who was working on getting information together but Katrina caused us to lose contact. One of the Yore's in the Chicago area (Schaumberg) changed their name from Yormulnick, I obtained a SSN app and have record of this, they are not related.

We have tombstone and family pictures, Scheid, Glosson/Klosson, Kennebeck, Dorfler names out of St. Mary's in Fremont Center; St. John the Baptist Catholic in McHenry, and Deerfield/St. Patrick's Cemeteries in Deerfield, Illinois. (Thanks to Catherine Taylor, Suzanne Lohenry, and Patrick McClory, etc. for pictures shared).
Much of the tree needs verification of dates via primary or secondary documents done.
I have collaborated with my mom and Susan Lohenry on the Yore information. Some time ago, Lori Hedditch of Chicago Yore's and I connected her family with the St. Joseph Yore's. Her aunt was Juanita Nadia Abel(disappeared in Geneva, IL. She is looking for Juanita's father, Albert Abel), her aunt married Edward Yore (St. Joseph, MI)abt.1923. The marriage record for them is in Chicago, Cook County.
Recently Michael Yore of Co. Meath, IR. located a graveyard with Garrett Yore buried there. Next to him are Bradley's and Farley. We are hoping this is the connection we have been looking and regardless of our findings, how they connect.
DORFLER side: We heard from James Dorfler in early 2003, sent naturalization papers for my great grandfather (Carl Dorfler) who came from Germany/Austria. He changed his name from Charles DEFFLER to Charles Dorfler. One of the sponsors who signed was a Christoper Deffler, don't know how he connects.
There apparently was a brother, (we think named Frank), of my grandfather,Carl Dorfler, living in Chicago in 1911 but we have not found any information on him yet.
My great-great grandmothers obit in 1911,said there was living a son in Germany and a daughter in Vienna,Europe also. Their names are not known at this time. H. Rosing (California)and Kym W.(Illinios) provided some info on George B. Rosing and Clara Magdalena Dorfler. I found a Carl William Deffler (Pennsyllvania) that I couldn't connect in any way at this Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
