Shown living in St. Stephens Parish of King and Queen County in 1850. Wife
living in Stevensville District in 1870. Lewis must have died by this time.
1860 Census shows Real Estate valued at $5250(170a improved, 170 a
unimproved)Personal Estate valued at $13275. A tidy sum in 1860. He died
before the 1870 census and, I suspect, was devistated by the War Between the
States. His widow was selling land in 1871 for a fraction of what it was
worth in 1860.
