Welcome to our Family Tree. When my fiance and I started this project in June 2000, we had no idea what a huge task it was going to become or how many people we would actually find in my lineage. All the people in this tree were found in either reference books, online message boards, email contacts or live testimony. I didn't source every entry because it was just going to be a small family project and it almost became overwhelming! • I have supplied a full family tree view from my Gedcom file of my Hedrick/Deering roots. • A Hedrick descendant chart of my Hedrick Ancestry on my fathers side. • The Dildine line is from my Grandmother Connie Mozel Dildine on my mothers side. • The Deering line is from my Grandfather Leo Everett Deering on my mother's side. • The Turnbough line is from my Great-Great Grandmother Nancy Jane Turnbough on my father's side. • The Williams line is from my Grandmother Nora Idella Williams on my father's side. We are stuck on the these ancestors. Please contact us if you can give us information on the following: • My Great Grandfather John DEERING. • My Great Great Grandparents William COX and Jane KITCHEN • My Great Great Grandparents Charles DAY and Nancy Elizabeth CHANDLER. • My Great Great Great Grandparents Emanual WILLIAMS and Tobitha DILL. •My Great Great Grandfather John 'Spikey' HEDRICK who married Nancy Jane 'Jennie' TURNBOUGH. We do not have parents or siblings for him and we aren't sure which Hedrick line he descended from yet. There is a lot of confusion surrounding this John, because he seems to have a cousin also named John HEDRICK and born around the same time (1822-1823) who married Dorcas TURNBOUGH. From census evidence we believe that Abraham HEDRICK is the father of Isaac HEDRICK who married Polly TINKER in IN, and that Isaac and Polly are John Spikey's parents. If anyone can help us clear up the inconsistencies in this family, it would be VERY much appreciated. If you require any of the information from the tree and you are not sure of the authenticity, or if you see any inconsistencies that you don't agree with, please don't hesitate to email me! I am happy to supply rtf files if anyone requires them. My charts are purely meant as a guide to try and put people on the right track if they need to research further and obtain census records or copies of source documents. I would eventually like to fill all the 'gaps' on my chart and any additional information will be greatly accepted. I don't think you can ever have too much information, so please send me any amendments or ommissions. I have kept all the resource documentation that I accumulated for future reference if anyone needs to cross check any information. I hope you find many answers to unanswered questions like I did - and I hope you have as much fun! Marcus Leo Hedrick **PLEASE email me with any corrections or additions, especially birth and death dates, names of children, historical notes or photographs that you may have for any of my lines. It will all be appreciated**
