McClellan Belcher was killed during an argument in a poker game. My mother,
Mary Dovie Belcher, was just a child then.

Notes for CAROLINE BAKER:
Caroline Baker worked in a boardinghouse for miners in Stonega, Va. after her husband, McClellan(Clynn)Belcher got killed. Her second husband was a Sproles; I don't know first name. Her family came from Blackwater, Virginia; however, Caroline was born in Kentucky. Her father, Wall Baker, also lived in Tennessee.
