The Heilands of Ford Co., Kansas

I'm researching the Ernst Heiland - Mary Fouse family. Ernst was born March 22, 1831 in Sorenbach, Germany. Mary was born on October 14, 1844 in Alsaac-Lorraine. They immigrated to this country separately and met and married on March 29, 1865 in Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois.

One of their sons, Henry John (my great grandfather) married Fredricke Helena Louisa Herrmann. I'm researching the Herrmann line also. Henry was born on February 28, 1870 in Fowler-Quincey, Illinois. Fredricke (aka Helen) was born on May 11, 1869 in Swartslosen, Germany. They were married on December 19, 1891 in Ford Co., Kansas.

Most of my Heiland research comes from my cousin, Lucille Tucker, who was able to trace the family from the time they came to the United States. I would like to trace the family back to Germany.
