"The Jakob Heinz Family Home Page"

Jakob Heinz was born in the Village of Lauterecken in the Pfalz-Rheinland area of Germany circa 1830. He married Dorothea Lohrmann and had a son Peter in 1858. Peter emigrated from Germany to Brooklyn, New York in 1872. He worked as a basketmaker and married Katherine Keller who was born in Bavaria in 1862. They had a son Casper "Joe" Heinz, my grandfather. He married Barbara Probst and they had four children, one of whom is my father,John.

I am also researching the names Fell, Rehberger and Stadtmuller. These ancestors came from the villages of Rieneck, Bad Bocklet and Gemunden in Bavaria circa 1865. They also settled in Brooklyn, New York.

My ggg-grandfather was a man named Frederick Igersheimer. I know that he emigrated from Bavaria circa 1852 with his wife, Una Mary Scheidel.Anyone with any information on this name would be greatly appreciated.
