I am interested in the families started by my grandparents who came to Calumet, Michigan, to work in the copper mines. Grandfather, Peter HIMANEK immigrated about 1880 and grandmother, Josephine TOMALKA came about 1881.
The TOMALKAs may have originated in a town called Starynz.
The HIMANEKs may have originated in a town called Prudnik.
