| I am primarily researching the families of Ferdinand Roentgen and Anthony Heidorf. However, I am also actively interest in the histories of Richard Taylor of N.Y., Alvah Morey of Binghampton, N.Y., Marie Walther of Sheboygan, Wisc., and Louise Conradine Grauel of Ill. The Roentgen family can be traced back to about 1650 in Lennep, Germany. Ferdinad came to this country in the mid-1800's with his son John Henry and Louise Conradine Roentgen. Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen was Ferdinand's nephew. I would like to thank Uwe Busch of the German Roentgen Museum for his tremendous assistance in gathering most of the information on the Roentgen family in Germany. The Heidorfs can be first traced to New York City in the mid-1800's. Later they moved to the Glens Falls area of New York. I would like to hear from anyone who may have any information on these families. |
