| Our branch of the Heim Family started in the southern part of Germany, in Bavaria. Our oldest Heim ancestor, John Heim, was born in a town called Rohrbach, Bavaria about 1803. He came to the United States with his toddler son, Louis Heim, in 1846, arriving at the Port of New Orleans. All of the John Heim Family branch stayed in New Orleans until John Louis Heim Jr. moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving the other family members behind. Members of the John Louis Heim Jr. family have all stayed in, and around Tulsa. Their families still live here. |
