The John Hand Family from England to Texas

I am researching the John Hand line from England.I started with my aunts and uncles and their kids. I then went to my father's aunts and uncle, etc. I knew nothing of them or their families. They were from Texas and New Mexico and one was in North Carolina. I was always told My great grandfather , Samuel Lee Hand was from Germany, but proved he was from Texas, where I'm not sure. His wife was Sarah Amarillo Baker, was always told she was a full blooded Cherokee Indian, I have found no proof on this. I have gotten as far as Samuel's father, Samuel Elkins Hand and his wife Rebecca Jane Hays. Samuel was from Tennessee and Rebecca was from Missouri. Would love to exchange information.
