Bill Hein married Fran Kopp, January 13, 1968, Holy Family Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. Thus joined together forever the Hein and Kopp families. The Hein family immigrated from Altona, Germany, in 1881; and the Kopp family immigrated from Eschbach, Germany, in 1840. Both families settled in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. We would like to correspond with any relatives. Hein burial plot in Ottensen, Germany (267 KB) Hein burial site of Johann Samuel (1802-1880), Johann Carl (1831-1880),Christoph (1833-1866), Marie (1843-1869), and Augusta Hinriette (1836-1880). This picture is a copy of a painting done in 1885, in Ottensen; which is by Hamburg, Germany. Johannes & Mathilde Hein Wedding (205 KB) Johannes Carl Wilhelm Hein married Marie Anna Mathilde Holthaus, in Germany, sometime around 1864. Johannes died in Altona, Germany, January 3, 1880. Marie came to America about 1890 and she died in Dayton, Ohio, December 8, 1919. William & Gladys Hein Wedding (189 KB) William Herman Hein married Gladys Ann Gebs, July 28, 1925, St. Stephen Church, Hamilton, Ohio. Witnesses (on the right) were Miss Marion Schwab and Joseph Palmisano. William and Gladys lived and raised their family in Cincinnati. Bernard and Bernandina Obermeyer (175 KB) Bernard and Dina (Decker) Obermeyer lived in Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati and attended St. Paul Catholic Church at Spring and Abigail Streets.
