Currently researching information on Benjamin Thomas Helton's father. Benjamin Thomas was born October 08, 1856, m.Sarah Frances Pruitt/Pruett. Scape and the Crosses (sister married a Cross) hauled rocks around the Bell Hill/Isabella section of Tennnessee and later moved to Cherokee County. (about the same time the Shields and the Pruett families did) He farmed after moving to Cherokee County North Carolina.

Scape is remembered as a big teaser. He rode a black mule and carried a big switch. He was a staunch republican and hard shell Baptist. His jobs were hauling rock, farming and mining.

"Poppy" HARRISON was born July 25, 1884, and died January 09, 1979. He married ROSETTA MAE LEWIS, daughter of FRANCIS LEWIS and ELIZABETH HARBOUR.

Bill Wallis Lewis was married to Elvira Nash on the Cherokee Reservation in NC. Elvira Nash was 100% French from France. They had s. Marion Francis Lewis and called him Frank. He married Elizabeth Jane Harbour. They had Rosetta.
