The Family History of J.Hellary

I have been researching the family history for the last 2 years.I have concentrated mainly on those who appear in post 1837 records.

As well as the HELLARYs , there are other families i.e. The HOWARD family, HOUGHTON family, NEWMAN family, SUTTON family, ARMITAGE family and The REX Family.

I am also tracing my mother's side. This interests me as there was a " family legend" that we are Jewish through our direct maternal lineage. Though I have found no evidence as yet. On this side we have the WOOD family, The CLARK Family, The WATTS family, The MERCHANT (MARCHANT) family, The BUCKLAND family and others.

They come from diverse areas of the British Isles, such as CO. CLARE IN IRELAND , WILTSHIRE , NORTHUMBERLAND, CO.DURHAM , KENT , CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND LONDON IN ENGLAND

  Robert howard was a lithographic printer. His sons and grandsons followed him in this trade.

  A coal porter by trade and very harsh father according to daughter Alice Matilda Clark
• James Wood 1890 - 1928 & Alice M.Clark 1895-1984 (1 KB)
  Newly-Weds. She married him because, in her own words, "He was a cripple and I felt sorry for him"
