| I am researching my family names, HELWIG - HABRYLEWICZ - BIGDA My family lived in Chicago,Illinois. My father's name was Ricahrd,(Dick to his friends). His father's name was Frank or Francis, his mothers name was Maryanna(Marie). Marie died in 1937 and Frank remarried, to Rose from Gary Indiana. Dick had three brothers, Hank, Geroge, Chester and one sister Lorraine. I am looking for my lost uncle Hank. Hank's wife's name was Francis Patricia nee: Burtell. They had two children Delores and LeRoy. Francis died and Hank remarried and changed his name to Habryl, and her name is not known. Our name before it was Helwig was Habrylewicz. Frank Helwig was born with the name Franciszek Habrylewicz. Frank was born in Chicago in 1887. His parents Franciszek Habrylewicz, mother Anna nee: Nowak immigrated to this country in 1885 from Statwina, Galicia,Poland. My mother's maiden name was Mary Bigda. She had four brothers Stanley, Harry, Jerry, Johnny, Three sisters Sophia, Helen, Stella. I am looking for any relative whose grandparents were George and Anna Bigda from the Chicago area. Geroge and Anna came to the U.S. from Poland in 1911. IF you have any inforamtion on Bigda's or Helwig's, Habrylewicz's please contact me. Any information I have or receive,I will share with you. |
