- In Memory of Judson Carl Helms (162 KB)
Judson Carl Helms 95, of 2496 Shoal Road, died this morning March 20 2002.
Funeral was held at Bethpage Lutheran Chuch where he was lay to rest beside the parents of his wife Mary Gilbert Helms along with his grandfather Alexander Helms and other family.
Carl helms was born in 1906 and will be deeply missed our prayers go out to his wife Mary along with all our love.
I will miss you my friend

William Gates and Elizebeth Norman were united in marriage Sept 29 1839,and togeather they traveled the pathway of life 77 years .
Mr.Gates was 97 years old at the time of his death and Mrs.Elizebeth lived to be 99 .
William Gates served in the 23rd regiment Co A, during along with his two son,s John L Gates of Co. C 71st,Regt and Marcus Wilson Gates of Co, I of the 37th Regt,their daughter Nancy was married to William White of Co,K Bethel Regt,Southern Stars, White was wounded at the Battle of Bethel Virginia,Possibly the first blood shed in the war
according to a Lincoln County Times News paper artical from 1907 ,on his return home Mrs.Elizebeth Gates mended the hole in his sleeve where the ball had entered his arm.
William White re-enlisted and was captured and died of small pox in a prison camp,
His wife Nancy would later marry Harrison Cauble.

For 2 years John was buried in France before his body was shiped home to be buried at the Pisgah Methodist Church in Lincoln Co. NC.

This is a picture of Frank Charles Farar who was born in Pennsylvania September 9 1904 and died in Brooklyn New York on September 30 1950.
Occupation Roofer.
Buried by Walter B. Cooke Inc. 20 Snyder Ave, in New York.
Frank is buried at Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn Long Island.on Oct, 5 1950.
Frank died in the V.A.Hospital in Brooklyn 9,New York at the age of 46.
