| My maiden name is SMITH. I have submitted the family history I have on the SMITH name on my paternal grandfather's side of the family and the FREELAND name on my paternal grandmother's side of the family to the Family Treemaker web site. I am interested in hearing from anyone that is related and can help fill in any blanks. The SMITHs and FREELANDs have lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. My mother's maiden name is CHAPMAN from Statesville, NC. I have not yet begun tracing this. However, I have been told that this has been traced back to Johnny "Appleseed" CHAPMAN. |
