The Eli Chartrand Family Home Page

I am researching the Eli Chartrand family. Eli was born on 08/09/1868 to Cleuas and Sophie Compo Chartrand. He died on 12/08/1940. He was married on 12/04/1888 to Mary Philimine Persia. They had 12 children. Stephen b. 12/14/1890 d.02/21/1948, Edward b.07/03/1892 d.12/08/1960, Regina (Jean) b.05/25/1895 d. 07/04/1966, Ida Delia (Minnie) b.05/09/1896 d. 11/09/1960, Anslem b. 08/16/1897 d. 02/07/1946, Maurice b.03/23/1902 d. 06/08/1965, Rose b.03/05/1903 d.12/14/1974, Ellard b.09/17/1905 d.08/16/1949, Mary Margaret b.09/03/1908 d. 02/15/1990, Flossie b.01/12/1910 d.02/15/1931, Anthony (Pete) b.11/16/1912 d.11/1996.
It is my understanding that Eli and Mary his wife came over from Canada and settled in Jerdon Falls, New York where the opperated a tannery for many years. Eli parents had other children. They were Paul, George, Joseph,Drummond,Hati,Maggie,Florence,and Anna. This may not be in the correct order. I believe that many of these were well known in the Montreal area.

If anyone has any information about any of the family members I would greatly appreciate their sharing it with me. I would be happy to share what information I have been able to compile.
