Helgeson - Halvorson Ancestry

Information about the ancestors of my parents, Floyd Harvey Helgeson and Gunda "Bonnie" Josephine Halvorson has been collected by me and other relatives. Ancestor ordered Ahnentafel reports for both my father and mother are given in this homepage.

The Ahnentafel report for my father contains a substantial amount of information with one line of ancestors going back to about 1600. I am particularly interested in finding more information about my father’s maternal grandparents and their ancestors, Aslak Sorenson and Lisa Kolden. Also, I would like to find more information about my father’s paternal grandmother, Syverine Jensdatter Voldengen (Wolding), and her ancestors. All of these ancestors originated from Norway and most of those that immigrated to the US settled in central Wisconsin, Waupaca County (Townships of Iola and Scandinavia). Any additions or corrections to this information would be greatly appreciated.

The Ahnentafel report for my mother contains less information and I would also appreciate additional information. Again, all of these ancestors originated from Norway and most that immigrated to the US settled in central Wisconsin.

Although only the direct ancestors of my father and mother are given in detail on this homepage, I have a lot of information on descendants in the US, i.e. currently over 1000 individuals. I would be happy to share that information with anyone interested.
