I am presently trying to find the parents of Zachariah Hemby, born in N.C.about 1814. He is shown in the 1850 census for Scott County, Ark.,age 36, with wife Emily age 23, and children; Mary, age 3 and Matilda, age 1. Zachariah is shown as being born in N.C., Emily in Ga. and the children in Ark.
Blankenship: Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma. Research Period: Pre 1860. I am trying to find the spouse of Nancy Blankenship and father of William H., Eli, Elishu, Daniel H. and Benjamin F. Blakenship. They are present in the 1860 census for Henry Co., Alabama. Nancy married William Peebles in Henry Co. in 1853. William H., Eli, Elishu and Daniel H. Blankenship fought in the Civil war for Alabama and the Confederacy. I suspect that the father Blankenship died in Alabama in the 1848-1853 time frame as The youngest child, Benjamin, was born in Alabama in 1849. The other children were born in Georgia.

Trawick: North and South Carolina, Alabama. Research Period: 1840-1860 for the father of Susan Trawick who married Darling B. Sowell on Aug 31, 1850 in Henry Co. Alabama and later resided in Dale County Alabama.
Napper/Nappier: Georgia, Alabama. Pre 1850 for ancestory of Manerva Ann Napper, who married Daniel H. Blankenship in Henry Co., Alabama on Jan 8, 1863.
