The Hemphill Family Page

I am researching the Hemphill family. My great-grandfather was James Hemphill, he lost an arm in a farming accident, but he didn't let that stop him from raising 17 children. One of which was my grandfather was Ray Hemphill, he was born in 1904. He married Elizabeth(Bessie)Smith and they started raising their family in Tryon, OK. I know there was alot of the family in the Tryon and Stillwater areas. Alot of the family also moved to central California. In the Lindsay, Tulare, and Visalia area.
I haven't gotten very far. My father was researching before his death and I am waiting for my mother to find his papers. I will post more as I get it.
Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
