The Gene Hempel Family Home Page

I am researching the Jacob Hempel family from Huck, Russia. Jacob was born June 21, 1849 in Russia or Germany.He married Marilis Steinbrecher,born Dec. 23,1845 in Donhof, Russia. They had sons Peter and Jacob Jr. and daughter Elizabeth, who came to America aboard the SS EMS Their passport is dated Oct. 23, 1891. I am interested in knowing when they migrated from Germany to Russia.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
