Descended from William Henry Hemsworth (1626-1696) from Rothwell, Yorkshire. Henry migrated to Dublin about 1651, residing at Abbeville, co. Tipperary at his death. My great-grandfather, James J. Hemsworth, arrived New York City by 1862, where he married first Mary A. Clark (Hemsworths in Springfield, Massachusetts are products of this marriage) and second Elizabeth Ann Richmond, my great-grandmother. Researching Hemsworth marriages to Richmond (from Lands End, England)and Burns(from London)as well as maternal connections (Hailwood-Hazlehurst-Collier-Bell).
