The Henzell Family in Australia Home Page

This family history records the descendants of four Henzell brothers who arrived in Brisbane, Australia from Manchester, England in 1862. William Lumley, Thomas Smith and John Harrop Henzell arrived in the "Montmorency" in 1862. Frederick Lumley Henzell arrived in the "Great Victoria" in 1866.
William Lumley drowned soon after arrival. Thomas Smith and John Harrop Henzell married sisters and Frederick Lumley Henzell married a daughter of an older sister. These sisters were three of the thirteen children of Charles and Fanny Trundle who arrived in Brisbane in the "Fortitude" in 1849.

The four Henzell brothers were children of John Harrop and Ann Henzell from Manchester. John Harrop Henzell married Ann Lumley in Durham in about 1834. John was born in Boldon, Durham in 1812.
