Photograph of my Great, Great Grandfather, Jacob L. Essig (1818 - 1908). Jacob lived with his wife Anna (Kemp)in Bally, Pennsylvania. He served in the Civil War in the 167th Regiment of Pennsylvania Drafted Militia. He was a carpenter and farmer. Jacob and Anna had three children, Augustine, William K., and Mary Essig.
