NOTE:Dec 11,1850; will mentions Rebecca as daughter and doesn't mention William M.; William M. Hendren (husband of Rebecca) must have been raised by John H.'s family; disposal of John's property after death does mention William M. as a heir (because he is the husband and daughter would not receive property?))

John was probably born in Prince William Co,VA; moved with parents to Rowan Co,NC in Mid 1770's; he then moved to Wilkes Co,NC where he married Sarah; and in late 1784 moved with brother Nimrod to KY, other brothers came later and their uncle Elijah
