Children as follows: MARY Brandon; SARAH LEAH Soverns, RACHEL Crane, CATHERINEe(Citty) Soverns,JOHN, WILLIAM, MARGARET, (all over age 21).0 JAMES,JENNY, BETSY, HANNAH, THOMAS, JOSEPH b 1787,and BECKY all under age of 21. He had land patents for 1000, and 400 acres on the CHEAT RIVER in 1773 . Was a constable in 1800. Where did he come from? Was he part of the Biggs family of the MONOCACY RIVER in FREDERICK County,MARYLAND? Who was his wife/wives?.

MARYLAND. He owned land between Mt. Lake Park and Gormonia. Was Justice of Peace for Allegany Co.,MD 1828.
Their children: WILLIAM L., MIDDLETON, UPTON, MARGARET Smith, NANCY, ElLIZABETH, Male, ODELIA, AMBROSE, and JOSEPH.

married CATHERINE LIPSCOMB;
died 9-10-1850 near Oakland, MD.
Their children: Jacob MOON, AMBROSE, WINIFRED, JOSEPH HARRISON, and GORDON UPTON.
