Jess Henley, brother of Walter Henley, son of William (Bill) Henley, grandson of Thomas Henley, and my adoptive father. He was serving in the KY Army National Guard and was called to active duty in WW I. He went to France, but the Armistice was signed while his troop ship was enroute, so he never saw battle while in France.
