Taken by a "practice" teacher on the jungle gym of the playground. A "practice" teacher, as we called them, was a student taking their final 1/2 semester of a practical teaching course by student-teaching at the Training School. Most laboratory schools in Colleges of Education across the United States have been phased out and closed, as they were something of an artifical environment in which the student teacher was to learn the practicalities of teaching.
