Della Henley Baker was a sister to my grandfather, Walter W. Henley. She married Willie Baker, and the couple traded a farm to my great uncle Jesse Henley, and this was where he and Efffie were living in 1935 when they adopted me. The farm that Jesse traded was left to him by my great grandfather, William Henley, in return for Jesse's caring for him, and the continuation of care for his wife, and Jesse's mother, Malinda Kesterson Henley until her death.
