Killed by bushwackers at Mena, Arkansas. Killed him burned his smoke house with
8 fresh butchered hogs. Threatned to kill Uncle Frank if he moved to put a boot
under John Henry's head.(who is Uncle Frank? another wife after Mary A who died
in 1860 in Johnson Co Ark?)(Told to Lucille Kelton by Stella Livisay)

Thomas Robinson's Will: In the name of God amen, I Thomas Robinson low in
health but of sound mind and perfect since am believing that it is once
appointed for man to die therefore I do make my last intended will in
testimony. I leave my land to my wife Francis Robertson and son John Robinson
thirty seven and a half acres we now live on and also leave my wife Francis
Robertson all the estate that coming to her from her from her father John Cole
that I made Wm. Cole Srs of Halifax County Virginia power of atty to attend to
her life time at his death to be equally devided between my five children John
Robinson James Robinson Polly Shearwood Edy C Robinson Cindy Robinson. I leave
my wife the executer of my estate Frances Robinson therefore is will never be
void nor disputed therefore set my hand and seal this 31st day of March 1830.

Spent Tues 22 Aug 1995 at Smith Co Courthouse Carthage Tn looking for purchase
and sale of the land Thomas Robinson left to John Henry Robinson in his will.
Checked transfers of land at Round Lick Creek. Do not think the land was here.
Looked at the 1830 census and the location of transfers around Frances Robinson
Morris Robinson received land from Sam'l B Robinson who is a neighbor of
Frances and his land is located along the Cumberland river which now could be
under water at the lake site. Nothing conclusive found. Need to check
Davidson Co for land records there.
