| The Decendants of Stephen Michael Thompson & Wealthy Jenkins Thompson Bragg. Stephen Michael was born around 1830 and I believe in Ga. but not sure on the County. Information on Stephen has been hard to find or information has not been verified but we are positive he was in the Civil War. Most of the Local soldiers from Screven County were in the 54TH Co.D. There is a Stephen H Thomspon buried in Macon at Rose Hill Cemetery but we have not be able to verify if this is our Stephen. When Stephen died his widow Wealthy Jenkins remarried Thomas Bragg of Screven County Ga. They are buried in the McDonald Cemetary in Screven County. We have visited the cemtery and verified this. The grave has Wealthy spelled as Welthia. Their son Stephen Marion who married Martha Laricey are also at McDonalds, information on Martha is also limited. Their Daughter Georgia married James Roberts. Decendants are from Bulloch, Screven, and Chatham County Georgia.Wealthy was the Daughter Of Charles Jenkins and Leviny James and Stephen was a CSA soldier. When Wealthy married Thomas Bragg they had 7 children all natives of Screven County, Ga. William Albert Thompson, son of Stephen Marion and Martha Laircey were my grandparents. William married Florrie daughter of Carrie Bolton and Walter J Bolton. Carrie's parent were Richard Bolton and Lizabeth Taylor. Walters parents were Reubin Bolton and Mary Bragg. I have done extensive research into Stephen Michael Thompson and still have not been able to verify any more information than what is available in the file. If anyone has information available please email me. This tree would not of been possible without the help of aunt Pearl. Credit has to be given to her for starting the book, I loaded the information and have continued it with my own research. Main Surnames are Thompson, Bragg, Bolton, Jenkins, Roberts, Sasser. The family Thomas Finch has now been loaded on my personal file only and all information by request of the family has been removed. Also the Floyd Family from Liberty County, Taylors Creek and Willie Ga. on my mothers side has been added with notes attached in the file where part of the information came from. Surnames are Evans, Sheppard, Lowther and Floyd. The Hendrix Family on my husbands side is being searched now also and the Barnes family who were in part born in Arkansas are being researched.
