My family lines are the Moores (from the Northern states), the Enterlines; The Grays and the Angells (from Missouri).
Several years I've searched for my gr gr grandfather Thomas Moore. Family legend says he was born on a ship coming from Ireland & about 1808 settled in Michigan near Lake Mich. When his 4 children were small they moved near Covington, Ind. He died there abt 1846. His oldest child (my G grfather John O. Moore) was six or seven. However, on 1900 Okla Territory census, John said his parents were born in Pennsylvania.
Thomas didn't appear to ever buy property. His widow, Margaret Talbert,married a man named Goudy and they lived near Alvin Ill. I need to know the names of the parents and siblings (if any) of Thomas Moore. I visited Illinois and Indiana and found his gravestone in Upper Mound Cemetery near Covington, Ind. I found there was another Thomas Moore family at the same time and in the same county of Ind. where mine lived. This Thomas Moore came with his large family from Ohio. He was about 30 or 40 years older than my grfather. I can't find any connection between that Moore family from Ohio and my Moore family from Michigan. Please help.
