Gravesite of Isaac Herring. Located at Good Hope Baptist Church, Saluda, SC. Isaac was a school teacher and saddlemaker and served as a Deacon at Good Hope Baptist Church for 50 years. Family oral history remembers that Isaac made trips into town in his buckboard wagon on Saturdays, picking up and delivering goods to his neighbors. His elder brother James migrated from the Edgefield, SC area in 1818, settling just NE of present day Birmingham.
