Copy of original Church Minutes held by Good Hope Baptist Church, Saluda, SC in which Isaac herring is elected a Deacon of the Church. He held this position for 50 years, until his death in 1878.
Isaac also served as Church secretary for many years as he was a schoolteacher and as such was literate. There are many pages of Good Hopes minutes in the beautiful flowing script of his handwriting.
