Elaine Hermle of Zamora, California

I have been researching the Hermle branch of our family, namely the ancestors of John Evangelist Hermle,12/20/1867 to 1/7/1941. He was born in Gosheim, Germany and died in Woodland, CA, USA. He was descended of Konrad, Josef, Lukan, Josef, Johann in that order. I have very little information other than these names and some dates. I would like to learn more about their families.

My daughter and I spent two weeks in September 2000 visiting Gosheim, Germany and the surrounding area. The country in that area was beautiful and the people very hospitable. Unfortunately, the local priest was out of town during that time so we were unable to obtain any Hermle family records. Happily I will be returning there this fall.

I am interested in any information regarding this branch of the Hermle family and am willing to share the information I already have.
