He was born Abt. 1876 in Russell County, Virginia, and died October 12, 1925 in Jewel Ridge, Tazewell County, Virginia.

From Clinch Valley News, Tazewell County, Virginia, 26 May 1950:
" Callie D. Lipford, 74, died at her home at North Tazewell on Tuesday night. She was a native of Tazewell county and was married to W. H. Lipford in 1902. He preceded her in deth in 1925.

Survivors include two sons, W. H. Lipford, of Wilmington, Del.; Robert Lipford, of Tazewell; Mrs. C. M. Mathena o Richlands; four sisters, eleven grand children and four great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted from the North Tazewell Holiness Church at two p.m., Thursday afternoon. Interment will follow in Maplewood."
