The Faye JOANN Rhome Family Page (Married Name Herring)

I live on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula south of Anchorage, home of the best salmon fishing in Alaska. My home is located on 5 of the most beautiful acres you would ever want to see, right on Trapper Brown's Lake - just next door to over 2 million acres of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and just on the other side of the lovely Kenai Mountains from the Kenai Fjords National Park where whales and calving glaciers are a common sight. I have beautiful loons that spend the summer in my lake. We even had nesting swans this last summer. Bald Eagles are every where as are a lot of big, ugly moose.We can fly out from the lake in our Cessna 185 on floats to view Grizzly Bears fighting over salmon in the Funny River, herds of wild sheep and mountain goats, moose, caribou and every other kind of wild thing you can think of that runs in the Alaska wilderness. Fishing for huge King, Coho and Sockeye Salmon on the great Kenai River is only minutes away by car or we can fly to isolated lakes that are so beautiful and pristine that it would blow your socks off.
