| I am a grandson of Richard Hervig, son of Niels Hervig and Henriette Emily Reireson of Fredrikstad, Norway.Richard had two brothers and a sister, Olga.1901 or 1902, Richard emigrated to the United States and settled in Illinois.He married Emma Melinda Pederson of Aurora, Il.Their sons and daughters were Richard B. Hervig, Nelson Robert (my father), Edwin, and Mary Ann Van Horn of Battle Creek, MI. The Pedersons, all 11--are the children of Ole Pederson and Ella (Ellie) Amundson Pederson of Aurora, Illinois.They apparently came to the US in 1880 by way of Bergen, Norway.The children that married were--Clara to John Youngen; Evelyn to Mac Salfisberg; Oline to Henry Jones; Hannah to a Safeblade; Tilde to an Anstensen; Florence to Robert Miller, Col. US Army(Ret); my grandmother Emma to Richard Hervig; Adolf to Bathsheba Abernathy; and Oscar to Ruth (?). My maternal grandfather was Fred Rolen Garnett, the husband of Naomi Williams of Walnut Port, Pa. My mother was Dorothy Naomi Garnett of Philadelphia, Pa. Also born to Fred and Naomi were Margaret (Garnett) Spensor, Doris (Garnett) Hall, residing presently in Florida, and Fred Richard Garnett. Fred Rolen's brothers and sisters included:Robert GARNETT, Dora GARNETT, Robert GARNETT, Percy GARNETT,Maggie GARNETT, and Vera GARNETT all of Richmond, Va. I am looking also to find the William and Margaret Williams', of Welsh decent, possibly the son of Robert Williams of Gwennedd, Wales.They settled in the Pennsylvania Welsh area. On Christine's side, we've located the Italian familia of Petrecca (the French Petries immigrated to Naples, Italy). We are also looking for relatives of, or information on James Blane Jarvis of West Virginia and of the John Guys of Tennesse.We are also looking for Coriell(e) of French decent, and of Harriet Napier. | |
